The Robot Club is the place to be for young people aged 12 and 13 who are interested in computers and robots. It will encourage them to explore many very exciting areas in these elds. During the 5 days they will be exposed to understanding some basic electronics, an introduction to machine learning and the practical use of microcontrollers in project design. They will leave having completed a few projects of their own, with reusable components like a microcontroller, servo motors, LEDs and connectors that are all included in the course cost. A certificate of attendance will be presented to all participants at the end of the week. The Robot Club will be presented by Brian Smith. Brian has been building robots for the past 40 years. He studied computer programming and electronics. His first robot was a finalist in the Young Scientists Competition in 1984. Brian has built many different robots but the most notable are his droids from Star Wars. He has built a life size R2-D2, a Mse-6 (Mouse Droid), BB8 and a pit droid.

Please note each participant will need a laptop computer and a cell phone.
